I went for brunch with Gervaise at a little cafe/bar at Gemmill Lane called club street social. Upon arriving at the cafe, (after about a 5 minute walk from Chinatown MRT station) my first impression was that it was a nice little cafe/bar to hang out with a friend for a nice little chat or brunch. Its bar was classy with an impressive display of alcohol. The service was excellent. Really friendly, top notch. Club street social is one of those places that offer an all-day breakfast menu. I have a weakness for this given how breakfast is my absolute favourite meal of the day. It made me love the place even more! I had a hard time deciding what to get. I was so tempted to just order a nice cold beer but I resisted the temptation (since I had an empty stomach) and ordered a humble prosciutto panini instead. It was tasty. Really good quality bread. I thoroughly enjoyed it. The ambiance was great and I would definitely be going back to try their scrambled eggs (I heard from a friend that they are to die for).

After walking around Chinatown a bit, we decided to have some tea/dessert to satisfy our sugar craving. We ended up going to Dolce Tokyo which is a Japanese-French cafe/restaurant over at 313 Somerset. Gervaise and I ended up sharing a huge and I mean HUGE slice of red velvet cake. I also ordered a matcha latte which was neither good nor bad.
Our red velvet slice came in a cute little bird cage

So that concluded my little cafe hop around Singapore. I can see why so many people have jumped on this bandwagon. It is a good way to bond over good food and build friendships. I can definitely see myself doing this more often in the future. I strongly urge you guys to try spending a day or two cafe hopping with your friends. It is worth an experience and I'm sure you will enjoy yourselves.
Well, I hope you guys liked my short post/review. Until my next blog post then! Much love xoxo
